LandTech Incorporated of South Carolina is a private real estate development, marketing and management firm. Established in 1980 as a workout firm for financial institutions with troubled real estate properties, LandTech has evolved into a South Carolina residential developer with few peers. Although we refer to ourselves as residential developers, we are in fact builders—not of homes—but of pre-planned communities where there is never a question of what the end product will be. Our vision is depicted for all to see before the first sale of a homesite is made in our master plan, and turning our vision into reality is our chosen vocation. We pursue it relentlessly.
With its flagship communities Park West in Charleston, Lake Carolina in Columbia, and Lake Frances in Lexington, LandTech quickly gained an industry pacesetter reputation. It did so by creating blue-ribbon, mixed-use family lifestyle-communities of superior value, and by setting new standards in community lifestyle design, value-added features and market appeal. In fact, LandTech is the acknowledged leader in the design and development of family-centered, self-contained, mixed-use planned-development communities intended for all of life’s stages. With the development of Park Island in Mount Pleasant, which included a 1,440-foot bridge across the marsh and surrounding waters, LandTech not only demonstrated its adeptness at dealing with regulatory agencies and environmental interest groups but also its duty to be good stewards of the land. Indeed, all of its communities perfectly profile the Company’s commitment to being good stewards of the land and its responsibilities to the people who reside there.
LandTech also operates a family of related companies developing communities on its own behalf and providing marketing and selling services to home builders in the communities it develops. The Company also provides association management services to the community’s property owners as well as development management services to third parties. Additionally, through its affiliate, LandTech Asset Management, LandTech is currently the court-appointed Receiver for major planned development communities in Rehoboth Beach, DE, Raleigh and Shallotte, NC, as well as builder-subdivisions in Charleston and Beaufort, SC, and has recently provided consultant services on 100 separate residential projects in North Carolina and Georgia.
