"We have found an unparalleled sense of community at The Peninsula. Everyone encountered is a friendly neighbor and there is never a dull moment for anyone. Each activity is a mere walk or bike ride away. Our favorite destinations are the pool, the gym, or the breathtaking pier. We spend much of our time gathering with friends at the Bay Beach or going to a movie night by the pool. The teen activities here have allowed us to build friendships that strengthen with each summer. We enjoy all of the fun amenities here at The Peninsula, a true teen paradise."- Alyssa and Dara Gill (Lakeside)
"It will be four years next month that we've lived at The Peninsula and our hope is that we never have to leave. Being surrounded by the landscape, the architecture, the colors is certainly a joy but what really makes it a unique community in our experience is the friends we have here. We get together for team trivia every week and have parties where the food, drink and conversation is always enjoyable. For something extra-special there are gourmet dinners and holiday events throughout the year that are organized & managed by Troon Golf whose staff is superior. When the weather's warm the outdoor pools (especially the wave pool) are an oasis, and when it's cold outside it's easy to warm up in the fitness center using the fantastic array of equipment available. Sitting down at the pier watching the birds, feeling the wind and listening to the water is just so relaxing (or, when it's storming, exciting) an experience. And there's no other community anywhere near where we could ride our bikes on paths that go everywhere. Finally, there's the golf course. We were not golfers when we moved here but we're learning, albeit slowly, and are continually impressed with the beauty of 'our' course and enjoy (mostly) the challenge of the game."- John & May Shanaphy (Conservancy)
"Linda and I lived in Rehoboth for many years, once we decided to move we looked at planned communities throughout Sussex County. We wanted a place that would continue to provide us with a lifestyle we were accustomed to. The Peninsula won hands down with all we could ask for - pool, gym, golf, security and great new friends. I do work in all the beach communities and the Peninsula's location provides easy access."- Kurt & Linda Seglem (Conservancy)
"I fell in love with The Peninsula the first time I saw it. The community was beautiful, the amenities unbelievable, but most important to me was that it offered me a way of life that I was yearning for. Working full time and raising a daughter doesn’t leave me much time to relax or to develop a social life. Life is what you make of it, but The Peninsula provides you with an opportunity to make more of it. The people are friendly and relaxed; there are plenty of gathering places and events; numerous amenities; and many opportunities to enjoy the beauty around you. To me The Peninsula is casual elegance; beautiful homes and landscaping; the beauty of the bay in one section and a golf greens throughout; ducks and geese flying by my bedroom window at eye level; looking out my window to the sun setting over the lake out back; watching people walking with their dogs or bicycling with their children on the walking paths; and so much more. I live at a 5-star resort year round and I’m very grateful."- Pamela Fleuette (Lakeside)
"My wife and I feel very lucky to have discovered The Peninsula. This was almost 5 years ago. We bought immediately upon seeing the place. What we fell in love with was the whole concept: an all-inclusive place where we could do everything we wanted inside the fence and yet a very exclusive place. I do a lot of outdoor sports (golf, tennis, fishing, boating etc.) and it is all here for me to enjoy: the golf course is top rated, designed by Jack Nicklaus, beautiful and challenging so that I never get tired of it; 8 great tennis courts professionally designed and maintained; 3 very nice pools each for a specific function according to the seasons and the age group, my grand-children love the wave pool; a great fitness center that motivates us to go there year round to stay in shape; and the whole natural environment with the beaches, the bay and the nature trail; we use it all! In other words, coming to live here is like changing completely our lifestyle with it now being so much healthier and more satisfying. In addition and most importantly, the people who bought into The Peninsula are extremely nice and friendly people and a warm and great community is developing quickly. This is helped greatly by the professionalism and friendliness of the Troon staff who manage the facilities."- Diep & Andree Lavu (Veranda)
"I have been an owner/resident for five years and my husband and I have enjoyed The Peninsula and all of its wonderful facilities since we purchased our home. We love to entertain friends and family at The Peninsula. We have found that the people at The Peninsula are so friendly and welcome meeting new people to share fun times with. We find ourselves inviting our golfing friends/family from home to The Peninsula because we love to play golf and our course is one of the best in the country. We have played a lot of courses but this one is maintained so well and is so beautiful that we always ask ourselves, “why do we travel to play golf elsewhere when we have the best at home?” Entertaining my girlfriends at the beach is wonderful. A typical weekend will be to play golf and have lunch at the Grille, followed by either a shopping trip to the outlets or a massage at our spa. They love to kick-up poolside at the adult pool and enjoy the hot tubs we have at The Peninsula. The feeling my guests get when they visit us at The Peninsula is the same as when they go to a resort hotel with a fine golf course. Our staff at The Peninsula is so helpful and welcoming that it makes my job of being the host so much easier!"- Jackee Krauss (The Mooring)
"After coming to the Delaware shore for many years, we chose The Peninsula as our retreat from Washington, D.C. because of its scenic landscape, family-friendly amenities and year-round appeal. With three small children, we wanted to somewhere to safely ride bikes, swim in the indoor/outdoor pools and enjoy organized activities. And, when the spirit moves us, we're just down the road from the ocean beaches of Delaware. With so much to do inside the gates, we wind up at the beach much less than expected."- Jason Hutt & Maria O’Donnell (Veranda)
"'Welcome home' we say when entering the environmentally-friendly gates of the Peninsula. Being retired and wanting little to do, we found The Peninsula. The amenities offered were more than we could imagine. The pools, wave pool, state of the art gym, activity room, great restaurant, tennis court, beautiful golf course, nature trails, sanctuary and even a Post Office, are among many things available to enjoy. We could not find any other place offering these spectacular features in such a pristine beautiful beach environment providing 'family-friendly' living."- Larry and Vickie B.
"'Heaven.' We have lived at The Peninsula for six years and have enjoyed everything here such as the wonderful neighbors, golf and pool, the gym and beauty of the location."- Luanne and Marc Stanley
"'Once you go through the gates, you are instantly at ease.' We look forward to the weekends and can't wait to arrive. There are so many things to do and I am very active with bike riding, kayaking, fitness center walking and going to the pools. I do not golf but will when I retire. The Peninsula is like another world, so relaxing, so friendly. When friends come down they say its like a resort and now I know why you love to go to your beach house."- John B.
